Author's Bio

Arya F. Jenkins is a Colombian-American poet and writer whose work has been published in journals and zines such as About Place Journal, Across the Margins, Agave Magazine, American Writers Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, Blue Heron Review, Cleaver Magazine, The Ekphrastic Review, Eunoia Review, The Feminist Wire, Fictive Dream, Five on the Fifth, Fictional Café, Flash Fiction Magazine, Glassworks Magazine, The Matador Review, Metafore Literary Magazine, Mojave Literary Review, Parhelion Literary Magazine, Rag Queen Periodical, Sinister Wisdom, Sleet Magazine, Vol. 1 Sunday Stories Series, and many others. Her fiction has received several nominations for the Pushcart Prize. Her poetry has also been nominated for the Pushcart. She is the author of three poetry chapbooks, Jewel Fire (AllBook Books, 2011), Silence Has A Name (Finishing Line Press, 2016), and Love & Poison (Prolific Press, 2019), and a short story collection, Blue Songs in an Open Key (Fomite, 2018). Her mixed genre novel, Punk Disco Bohemian, is scheduled for release through NineStar Press in 2021. Her second collection of short stories, Angel in Paris & Other Stories, is scheduled for publication via NineStar Press in 2022.
