Zilka Joseph was nominated twice for a Pushcart prize. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Writers’ Chronicle(AWP), Poetry, Poetry Daily, Kenyon Review Online, MQR, Quiddity, Mantis, Asia Literary Review, CHA, Review Americana, Gastronomica,Confluence(UK), and anthologies such as Cheers To Muses: Contemporary Works by Asian American Women, and Uncommon Core. Poems for Living and Learning, published by the Neutral Zone, Ann ArborHer chapbooks, Lands I Live Inand What Dread, were nominated for a Beyond Margins PEN America and a Pushcart award respectively. Her book of poems, Sharp Blue Search of Flame, was published by Wayne State University Press and was a finalist for the Foreword Indies Book Award. She collaborates with artists, dancers and musicians and has been a part of several projects, exhibitions/books and performances. She has been interviewed on Living Writers (WUOM, Michigan Public Radio) and appeared on NPR. Recently, she co-edited MAPS, an anthology of South Asian poetry of the diaspora.
