The program offers partial funding through scholarships, loans, and an annual postgraduate teaching fellowship.

Other Features: 

Students attend two nine- or ten-day residencies each year and one final residency at the end of the program. In January, the residency is held at Blackwater Falls State Park, and, in July, the residency is held on the West Virginia Wesleyan campus in Buckhannon, West Virginia; students can substitute one campus residency with travel to Dublin, Ireland. The program, which is focused on place-based writing, hosts a reading series. 

The program also offers a secondary genre concentration.

The application deadline is October 1 for the January residency and April 1 for the July residency.
