Sierra Nevada Review
During our residencies, which take place in January and August of each year, students attend 10 days of intensive workshops and events designed to nurture their work in profound and lasting ways.
Each student works with an editor-in-the-field during their final mentoring semester. Editors include Rick Campbell, Peter Catapano, Grant Faulkner, Gina Frangello, Alan Heathcock, Peter Mountford, Laura Wetherington, Arianne Zwartjes, and others.
Students also have the opportunity to gain editorial experience by working on the Sierra Nevada Review.
The program hosts the Writers in the Woods series that brings in guest faculty. Past guest faculty include W. Ralph Eubanks, Carmen Maria Machado, Luis Alberto Urrea, Patricia Smith, Pam Houston, Robert Hass, Carolyn Forché, Nick Flynn, and more.
The deadline for fall admission is May 1; the deadline for spring admission is November 1.
