Other Features:

The program regularly brings in writers from all over the country through its Visiting Writers Series and hosts a monthly reading series involving current students and faculty. Each semester faculty convene a professionalization panel to help students navigate the writing life outside the classroom. Students are given the opportunity to apply for support to help attend AWP or a different conference of their choosing. Summer funding is sometimes available through donors, but it’s usually offered on a competitive basis. There is also the opportunity to attend a summer residency at a cabin in Montana.
