Funding/Employment Opportunities: 

The program offers eight fully funded teaching assistantships, which each include a stipend of approximately $15,900, full tuition remission, and student health insurance. 90 to 100 percent of students are fully funded.

Additionally, MFA students are eligible to apply for University-wide fellowships offered through the Graduate School.

The program hosts a writer in residence, and in addition to a visiting writers series, the program also offers summer reading stipends and opportunities for summer writing residencies at cabins in Tennessee and Virginia, exclusively available to current and graduated students.
