The SFC MFA is the only low-residency creative writing program based in New York City. Students gather twice a year for 10-day residencies held each January and July at the Downtown Brooklyn campus. Between residencies, students work one-on-one with accomplished mentors in their chosen genres. The program spans five residency periods and is typically completed in just over two years.
