Students attend a 10-day residency each June and October on the Eastern Oregon University campus in La Grande, Oregon. The residencies offer workshops, seminars, lectures and readings by faculty and visiting writers, student and graudate readings, and one-on-one faculty mentor advising.

Each student also completes a service practicum or internship in editing and publishing, literary outreach, or online teaching.
