The program offers partial funding through scholarship and teaching assistantship opportunities. There is currently a 50 percent tuition savings from the regular tuition rate at Drexel University.
The program provides MFA Special Gift Fund Scholarships, funded partially by gifts from alumni, which provide several $1,000 scholarships to writers who have experienced difficult life circumstances. The program also awards work-experience credit for published novels. Each novel considered equivalent to graduate level learning will be awarded three credits.
The early action deadline for Fall 2026 term is May 15, 2026. Applications are still accepted up until the regular deadline of September 1.
For best consideration, apply early in the application season, as the program has rolling admissions.
