Summer residencies take place on campus with collaboration with the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.

Visiting writers have included Elizabeth O’Connor, Claire Keegan, Pádraig Ó Tuama, Benjamin Busch, Dean Koontz, Emma Donoghue, William Kent Kreuger, Marilyn Nelson, Kathleen Jamie, James Robertson, Jane Friedman, John Grogan, Paula Yoo, Donal Ryan, Lee Upton, Matt Bell, and Lia Purpura, among others.

The Writing in the Spirit series includes spiritual speakers, writers, readings and contemplative practices.

There are rolling admissions with two main entry dates: June 30 and December 15.
