Instruction for incoming cohorts begins the first week of May every year. Only transfer students may begin their studies in the program at a different time in the year.
The in-person, on-campus residency program runs every summer for twelve days during the last two weeks of July. On-campus housing is available during the summer residency. Breakfast and lunch are included most residency days. The sun sets at 11:00 PM in July. The residency concludes at the peak of salmon fishing season on the Kenai Peninsula, three hours by car from campus.
