We are an international journal of micropoetry and miniature poetry in English, including but not limited to, haiku, senryu and tanka. We also publish very brief haibun and haiga. tinywords is listed in the Haiku Society of America’s 2008 Guide to Haiku Publications, which called it the “largest-circulation journal of haiku in English.” tinywords is unique in that it publishes just one tiny poem per day, on the web and via e-mail, SMS and Twitter to subscribers.
Tips From the Editor
Before submitting please read a recent issue or two archived at our website, http://tinywords.com/archives/ , to see what we publish and more particularly, to better know our understanding of Japanese forms and preferences in micropoetry. We give preference to work that has not been previously published in any literary journal, though we’ll occasionally republish poems that have appeared elsewhere. Appearance on Twitter, personal blogs or online poetry discussion forums is no impediment to acceptance. Edit your poems carefully. Please submit no more than five poems per reading period. Electronic Submissions accepted through our submission manager at our website page http://tinywords.com/submit available only during our two yearly reading periods, August and February. No mail submissions.
