Editorial Focus

The Columbia Review is the oldest collegiate literary magazine in the country. Since its inception, it has published eight Pulitzer Prize winners, and a winner of the Nobel Prize. The Review publishes twice a year and is available for free on Columbia’s campus and on the magazine’s website. Unlike other campus magazines, the Columbia Review does not specialize in the work of any particular gender, ethnic group, or university division.

Tips From the Editor

We only accept electronic submissions. We accept and publish submissions from writers and artists not affiliated with Columbia University. Please indicate whether you are submitting your work specifically for online publication, or if you are willing to have your work considered for online submission in the event that it does not make its way into the magazine. Please send us your work in a word document if possible.
