The editors are seeking original, unpublished poetry that moves, challenges, or surprises them. Whether you write formal verse, free verse, prose poems, or hybrid work, they want to read it!

At The Seat, we take our time savoring each poem we publish. All publshed poems come with 250-500 word editorial comments on why we chose a particular poem, with the goal of slowing down the pace of poetry consumption and encouraging more conversation around the poems themselves.
