Editorial Focus
Slice, a New York-based nonprofit magazine, was founded by two book editors who wanted to give emerging writers the chance to break into the publishing world. To do that, we invited everyone into the same space. On the page and off the page, at Slice we forge connections between agents, editors, acclaimed writers, and new voices. In each issue, a specific cultural theme becomes the catalyst for short stories, articles, interviews, and poems from renowned writers and lesser known voices alike.
Tips From the Editor
Slice publishes fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry in all forms. We look for work that pushes boundaries, blurs genres, and tells a gripping story. Reading Periods: April 1 - June 1, October 1 - December 1.
