
Editorial Focus
Poetry International is a celebration of poetry on a global scale. Each issue is a unique collection of original works, translations, and reviews, with every issue showcasing the contemporary poetry of one nation. Some recent examples include: Chilean poetry, African women’s poetry, Mexican poetry, and Iraqi poetry. Famous poets recently published include: Jorge Louis Borges, Paul Celan, Rainer Maria Rilke, Marina Tsvetaeva, and Octavio Paz. It is an annual publication of San Diego State University.

Please include an email address for notification with your submission. Manuscripts that are not accepted will not be returned, and they will be recycled.
Please submit no more than five poems at a time. We reserve the right to disregard submissions that exceed this limit.
No poems or translations previously published in English will be accepted.
Please make your entry easy to read—no illustrations, fancy fonts, or decorative borders. We do not accept handwritten entries. No email or fax submissions, please.
