Editorial Focus

Jelly Squid is an online literary magazine that uplifts emerging writers and artists. Based in the Pacific Northwest, Jelly Squid publishes three issues a year featuring art, poetry, and prose from writers from all over the country. Jelly Squid seeks to shine a light on work from previously unpublished and emerging writers, but accepts work from writers of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Tips From the Editor

Though we recommend that you read through our issues before you submit to get a general idea of what we like, don’t be afraid to send us your work even if you aren’t sure whether or not it'll be a good fit for us! We like variation, and often the sort of work we’re looking for changes based on factors like issue themes.
