Editorial Focus
The Dolomite Review is a quarterly literary magazine publishing fiction, poetry, and essays that linger long after the final line. Rooted in Michigan and inspired by the Midwest, it champions emerging American voices and thoughtful storytelling shaped by depth, honesty, and craft. Named for the ancient dolomite formations of Drummond Island, it seeks writing that is grounded, layered, and quietly powerful—work that captures the complexity of place, memory, and the moments that stay.
Tips From the Editor
Authors do not have to be living in the Midwest, but must have some connection here. We favor strong narrative, even in poetry. We do not publish themed issues, but the Midwest must have a strong presence.
