Workshop

“Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity.” —Lao Tzu

Writing doesn’t always have to push. Sometimes, it can hold.

In this one-session generative expressive writing workshop, you’ll explore expressive writing as a tool for creativity, reflection, and emotional grounding. Through imaginative prompts, gentle structure, and sensory-rich exercises, you’ll reconnect with your inner voice—without the pressure to perform or produce.

We’ll play with character, dialogue, imagery, and perspective—not to craft polished stories, but to see what emerges when you write from a place of curiosity, intuition, and care. Along the way, you’ll experiment with techniques like intuitive collage, draw inspiration from writers like J. Ruth Gendler and Pat Schneider, and open space for insight, serenity, and unexpected joy.

Whether you’re just beginning or returning to your practice, this class offers a soft place to land—a space to slow down, listen in, and rediscover the pleasure of writing just for you.

Perfect for anyone craving creative nourishment, emotional clarity, and a deeper connection to the page.
