In this free Zoom event, the heads of three of the best-regarded independent presses—Masie Cochran (editorial director, Tin House), Johnny Temple (publisher, Akashic Books), and Erika Goldman (publisher, Bellevue Literary Press)—join 5E, a collective of independent editors, to discuss the challenges and advantages of publishing independence, how they navigate a crowded commercial marketplace to build author careers and readerships, and which books and writers they’re most excited about.
