The Petaluma Poetry Walk returns to downtown Petaluma from 11am to 8pm,  Sunday, September 21, 2025 celebrating its 28th year bringing live poetry readings to the heart of downtown Petaluma. 

Join us from 6–8pm, at Aqus Café where poets Jennifer Barone, Justin Cole Demeter, Ingrid Keir, Dave Seter, Kelechi Ubozoh, and Bill Vartnaw will be reading. They will be introduced by Petaluma Poetry Walk director, Kary Hess.

Poets’ books will be available for purchase at Copperfield’s Books during the month of September. Go to petalumapoetrywalk.org for the full day’s schedule of 26 poets and eight venues.

Founded by the late poet Geri Digiorno in 1996, the free, day-long event features over two dozen regionally and nationally recognized poets. Among them are: Pulitzer Prize finalist Dorianne Laux; Berkeley Poetry Festival’s 2024 LifeTime Achievement Award Winner, Tureeda Mikell; current Sonoma County Poet Laureate Dave Seter; and Anaya Ertz and Lisa Zheng, the current Marin and Sonoma Youth Poets Laureate. The event is supported in part by Poets & Writers.
