The PEN America Literary Gala is a signature event on New York City’s cultural calendar—an inspiring evening that brings together writers, journalists, editors, publishers, and a remarkable cross-section of
distinguished New Yorkers. Each year, this high-profile celebration attracts national and international attention.

The gala will take place on Thursday, May 14 at the American Museum of Natural History and will honor beloved author Ann Patchett with the PEN/Audible Literary Service Award. Maverick film producer Jason Blum, Founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions, will be our Business Visionary Honoree. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie will be co-chairing the event, alongside longtime PEN America supporters Colette Bennett and Karen Mehiel.
