Highland Park Poetry welcomes Pamela Miller and Terry Loncaric as our feature poets. Pamela Miller is the author of six books of poems, most recently How to Do the Greased Wombat Slide (Unsolicited Press, 2024). Her work has appeared in RHINO, New Poetry From the Midwest, After Hours, Book of Matches, BlazeVOX, Circe’s Lament: Anthology of Wild Women Poetry, and many other journals and anthologies. She lives in Chicago with her husband, science fiction writer Richard Chwedyk. Terry Loncaric, a Hampshire resident, is the author of four books of poetry, including her most recent, Poems from a Restless Traveler. She is a fixture at many Highland Park Poetry events. She hosts a monthly open-mic at Stage Left cafe in Woodstock. Poets may bring up to 3 short poems to share, though HPP reserves the right to reduce the number read to ensure all participants have an opportunity. Come a few minutes early to sign up for the line-up. *Location* Next door to movie theater. Recommend using Renaissance Place 3-hour free underground parking garage. Stairs in southeast end take you to Second Street or follow signs to movie theater. There is no cover charge. We hope attendees will support the businesses that support us. Consider seeing a film at Wayfarer Theater before or after.
