Poets will share work inspired by Assata Shakur’s historic line, “a wall is just a wall,” one that has new meaning given Assata’s recent passing, the continued devastation caused by the Eaton fire, rising walls along borders, and ICE invasions; community members are invited to share about any subject at the open mic.
