Hugh Martin will read poetry and creative non-fiction. He will read poems from both of his collections of poetry: The Stick Soldiers and In Country (both published by BOA Editions, Ltd). He will also read a creative non-fiction piece or an excerpt from a new work. After the reading, Hugh will engage in dialogue with the audience, inviting the audience members to ask questions about writing poetry, creative non-fiction, and his journey from deployment to Iraq to becoming a published poet. The dialogue will be facilitated by Leilani Squire.
