Submission Guidelines
Accepting select queries at [email protected] or via the UTA query website. Send professionally written and proofread query letters (including your elevator pitch, synopsis, comp titles, bio, social media profiles and relevant links, and inspiration for your manuscript) in an e-mail, along with an attachment of the first 30 pages of your manuscript in a Word doc. Please be specific about why this agent might be interested in your work.
Tips From the Agent
I represent a wide range of fiction and nonfiction authors, and am especially drawn to bold, voice-driven work from historically underrepresented writers—stories that explore themes of identity in all its complexity, along with race, culture, gender, and sexuality. I gravitate towards books that confront and engage with gray areas, challenge assumptions, and leave readers thinking differently and more deeply about the world we live in.
