Compensation: Free housing + $20/hr for specific tasks + trip stipends
Seguinland Institute is seeking 2–3 Community Life Assistants (CLAs) to help support our immersive, nature-based Good Life Gap Year programs. Ideal candidates are community-minded, love the outdoors, enjoy working with college-aged students, and are excited about innovative models of higher education.
This part-time role is perfect for someone pursuing grad school or a creative project, and/or who has another weekday job. CLAs live in free housing at the stunning Mill Island House and provide weekend outings, evening/weekend on-call coverage, and general support during and between programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead weekend student outings (hiking, concerts, farmers markets, etc.)
- Provide rotating on-call coverage (2 weekday evenings + 1 weekend day/night per week)
- Drive students in Institute vans (12 passenger and 15 passenger)
- Join for occasional shared meals in our cookhouse and special events
- Assist with program setup/breakdown and multi-day trips (optional but preferred)
Qualifications:
- Age 21+ with valid driver’s license (clean record)
- CPR/First Aid certified (training provided)
- Love for experiential learning, working with college age students, and living in community.
- Desire to live in shared housing on campus for the majority of the role
