Visiting Full-Time Faculty Position in Creative Writing (Nonfiction)

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Department of English at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time one-year visiting appointment in Creative Writing-Nonfiction to begin in August 2025.  This position carries a 3-3 teaching load, and will involve teaching 100-level introductory courses in Creative Writing: Narrative, which includes both fiction and non-fiction, and 200-level Intermediate Nonfiction Workshops. Typically, Creative Writing faculty also teach one literature course of their own design each year.

Visiting full-time faculty teach 3 courses each semester and are eligible to apply for support to present at a conference or attend a professional development program through the Provost’s Supplemental Research Fund. The College will support reimbursement of relocation costs within its published policies. All full-time appointments offer competitive salaries and include full benefits.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
