Yong Takahashi

Yong Takahashi is a writer who was born in South Korea, grew up in Detroit, and lived in Atlanta for over thirty years. She writes poetry and dark stories. Over her career, her work has appeared in more than eighty journals and anthologies. She was a finalist in The Restless Books Prize for New Immigrant Writing, Southern Fried Karma Novel Contest, Gemini Magazine Short Story Contest, The Writers’ Mastermind Short Story Contest, and The Sexton Prize for Poetry.

Her memoir, Observations Through Yellow Glasses, is told through poetry. It explores growing up between two cultures and how that influenced love and healing.

Yong formerly served as Co-Managing Editor of The Fictional Café and now is the Founding Editor of Little Notes Lit Mag, which is an Instagram magazine.
