Author's Bio

Valerie Coulton’s books include still life with elegy, small bed & field guide (both from above/ground press), open book (Apogee Press), and The Cellar Dreamer (Apogee Press). With husband Edward Smallfield, she’s the co-author of lirio and anonymous, both from Dancing Girl Press. She is a co-editor at Apogee Press and she curates palabrosa, an occasional online chapbook and interview series. Her work has been translated into Greek, Spanish and Italian, and she holds an MFA from San Francisco State University. She lives in Barcelona with her husband, the poet Edward Smallfield.
