Sylvia Schwartz’s short stories and poetry have been chosen by online literary magazines not only in the U.S. but also in publications originating in Spain, India, and Canada demonstrating the universal appeal of her writing. Sylvia has studied literary fiction at the Writers Studio and One Story in New York. She is an assistant editor at Narrative Magazine and lives in Hoboken, NJ. Prizes won: 

"Becoming One" was chosen for Potato Soup Journal's 2021 Anthology, and "What Sparked It?" for their 2020 anthology. "The Man Who Stopped Speaking" was nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Bold + Italic. "Very Very Very Very Very" was featured in Edify Fiction's "Best of the Best" anthology. 

The play "Twenty Seconds" was produced for the Coronavirus Play Project; "Don't Vote" was produced by Primary Stages in NYC, "Colorblind" and "Alexa" were produced for the New Jersey One-Minute Play Festival; and"Will the Dodgers Leave New York?" won 3rd place in Hoboken's One-Act Play Festival.
