Author's Bio

Sophia Falco’s third poetry book: Chronicles of Cosmic Chaos: In The Fourth Dimension has been published by UnCollected Press in December, 2022. Futhermore, her fourth book, a winner of UnCollected Press 2023 book publication contest, titled: If My Hands Were Birds: A Poem is coming out later this year. She is also the author of Farewell Clay Dove (2021), and of her award-winning chapbook: The Immortal Sunflower (2019). She is the winner of the Mirabai Prize for Poetry, and she graduated magna cum laude along with the highest honors in the Literature Department from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Sophia is in a highly regarded Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Program for Poetry along with carrying out a Teaching Fellowship--class of 2024. This year she was promoted to Lead Writing Adviser in the Center for Writing Across The Curriculum. She is on her way to make her dream career become a reality to be a Professor of Poetry. A proud mental health advocate, and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she uses her poetry to highlight the challenges, and to highlight hope.
