Author's Bio

Shashank Mane was born in Mumbai, India and has also lived in Switzerland, the USA, Panama and Finland. He has lived and worked in Finland since 2013, after having completed his BSc. from George Mason University in Virginia, USA in 2010. He attained his MSc. in 2019 at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. Traveling, multiculturalism, and experiencing different parts of the world have been at the forefront of his life since birth. Mane, through years spent in different parts of the world, has learned six languages.
Mane’s first accepted publication was a piece of flash fiction, “Starburst”, published by Every Writer Magazine in 2015. Since then, his work, including short stories and poetry, has appeared in various journals, anthologies and reviews in the USA and Finland. He published a collection of his short stories and poetry entitled “Moments” (2017) after which he published a short story collection “Glass Streams” (2020).
Mane’s latest publication, through publisher “Rosetta Versos”, is his first collection of poetry, “The Many Moods of the Moon”.
Over the years, Mane has been invited to perform at various poetry and literary events throughout Finland, including the Helsinki Book Fair. He is a member of the Finnish PEN and also the American Academy of Poets.
