Ryan Masters

Ryan Masters is a writer and poet from Santa Cruz, CA. He spent a decade on staff at the Santa Cruz Sentinel and The Monterey County Weekly. His short fiction has appeared in The Catamaran Literary Reader, Unlikely Stories, and the Bookshop Santa Cruz website. He's written for The Surfer's Journal, Scuba Diving Magazine, and Edible Monterey Bay. His first collection of fiction, Above an Abyss: Two Novellas was published by Radial Books in December 2018. He was the inaugural Poet-in-Residence for the City of Pacific Grove, CA from 2002-2004. His work has a appeared in wide range of journals, magazines, and anthologies, including: The Iowa Review, Catamaran Literary Reader, The Portland Review, California Quarterly, Monterey Bay Poetry Review, The Pedestal Magazine, Tule Review, Plum Ruby Review, Porter Gulch Review, ELKE, Cruel Garters, Frisk Magazine, bottle rockets, Absinthe Literary Review, Hilltromper, Monterey Bay Edible, GonzoFest, Whimperbang, Homestead Review, and more.
