Author's Bio

Q.M. Zhang (Kimberly Chang) grew up in upstate New York, lived in China and Hong Kong, and currently makes her home in Western Massachusetts.  She is a writer and teacher of hybrid stories and forms, with a focus on those whose lives span national borders and cultural worlds. She is an alumna of the Juniper Summer Writing Institute and the Vermont Studio Center.  Her book, Accomplice to Memory, a Kirkus Best Indies Book of 2018, combines memoir, fiction, and documentary photographs to explore the possibilities of truth telling across generations and geographies.  She teaches at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA and is the Prose Editor at The Massachusetts Review.
