Parvinder Mehta

Dr. Parvinder Mehta is an India-born, Sikh American academic scholar and a poet with a PhD in English from Wayne State University. Her dissertation focused on immigrant identities in the selected works of contemporary Asian American women writers. She currently teaches undergraduate writing, film and literature courses in Detroit, Michigan. Her debut poetry collection titled On Wings of Words was published in 2021 by Khalis House. Through her creative work, she hopes to allow the readers to patiently listen to whispers of social justice, echoes of buried histories, and melodies of human potential for a more ethical and compassionate world.
