Michael Raqim Mira

Michael Raqim Mira is a writer, photographer and video producer based in the Houston area. He was born in the Philippines and grew up in New York City and Texas. His first poem was published in 2007. His literary and visual works have appeared in various online and print publications, including Mused: BellaOnline Literary Review, The Nervous Breakdown, Panoply, TLDTD, ASBMB Today, Barely South Review, and others. His op-ed pieces and reportage have also appeared in Rappler and World Correspondents, respectively.  In 2025, he published his collection of poetry and prose, Proximity. In 2026, he published his colleciton of personal essays about his experiences in freelance work, titled, No One Knows But Us.
