Author's Bio

Meg Shevenock is a writer and artist whose debut poetry book, The Miraculous, Sometimes, won the 2019 Marystina Santiestevan First Book Prize, selected by Bob Hicok for Conduit Books. Meg has worked with gifted students through an approach of associative learning for the past eleven years, and more recently she has been a reader and researcher for the artist Ann Hamilton. She received an Individual Excellence Award from The Ohio Arts Council in 2020, and her poems and essays have appeared in the Times Literary SupplementLana TurnerBest New Poets, Fence, Denver Quarterly, Ninth Letter, Prairie Schooner, 32 Poems, jubilat, Kenyon Review online and elsewhere. She maintains an ongoing telepathic art practice with her collaborator, Jamie Boyle, and together their work has been featured in numerous galleries, including a solo show, some begins, at the 707 Gallery, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
