Author's Bio

Mary is the author of poetry collections Between Rooms,The White Tree Quartet, and the recently released Hawk's Cry,  Her memoir, Understanding Moonseed, was released in 2022.

Her poetry and prose has appeared or is forthcoming in Narrative, The Crab Orchard Review, The Rumpus, The Tupelo Quarterly and 30/30 Project, LOST Magazine, The Evening Street Review, the Naugatuck River Review, and Calyx amongst others. Her work is also included in the Las Positas Literary Anthology, The Times They Were A'Changin' and The Widows Handbook. 

A Chicago native, Mary lives in California’s Silicon Valley foothills.
