Author's Bio

Dr. Mary Leoson teaches college level creative writing,  literature, composition, film, and psychology courses in the Nashville, TN area and online. She serves as Director of creative writing organization MTSU Write. Her YA horror novel, The Butterfly Circle, was released by Manta Press in 2023 and her story collection, Devil's Oak: Waking the Feminine Wound was published by MT Open Press in 2025. Her writing has been also featured in various literary magazines and on NPR's "This I Believe" series. She creates fictional worlds that explore the human psyche and the uncanny against a backdrop of fairy tale. She holds a Doctor of Arts in English Pedagogy & Literature, an MFA in Creative Writing, an MA in English & Writing, and an MS in Psychology.   You can learn more at www.maryleoson.com.
