Martin Agee’s career as a violinist has brought him to the major concert venues, recording studios and theatres of New York City for over thirty-five years. During that time he has become an avid writer of poetry, fiction and critical essays. His works have been published in journals and literary magazines the world over, including Belle Ombre, Jerry Jazz Musician, Out There Literary Magazine, Honeyguide Literary Magazine, Allegro, Bright Flash Literary Review, and The Daily Drunk, among many others.

As a professional musician, his television, recording and performing credits include more than forty original Broadway cast albums including five Grammy Award winners, and encompass a wide array of concert performances with the major artists of our time from Itzhak Perlman to Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and from Madonna to Metallica.

In January 2020, Points of Light, the world’s foremost organization dedicated to the promotion and fostering of volunteerism, awarded Martin Agee the Daily Point of Light Award for his work as a violinist playing for animals recovering from abuse and neglect at the Animal Recovery Center of the ASPCA in New York City.
