BA—University of Washington, MFA—Queens, Masters in Strategic Studies—US Army War College, JD—Case Western Reserve. My mother was poet Alice Boyd Stockdale and I have been writing poetry all my life. I joined the Army as a Private to have something to write about and left as a Colonel with a lot to write about.
