Author's Bio

          After graduating from Williams College in 1966, Lane studied theatre directing on a Fulbright Scholarship in Munich, Germany, and earned an MA and PhD from Harvard University.  He also taught English in Hong Kong and worked as an escort-interpreter for the U.S. Department of State.   From 1984 to 1990 he wrote scripts and voice-over narration for documentary television shows produced and broadcast on PBS and in Europe.   Lane served for over 40 years as an editor and writer for the World Future Society, retiring in 2015 as Managing Editor of the professional journal World Future Review.                    He has published three books of poetry, contributed articles, fiction, and reviews to numerous magazines and anthologies, and is the author of the novel Satisfaction .
