Author's Bio

Kimberly Meyer is the author of The Book of Wanderings(Little, Brown), which won the American Society of Journalists and Author’s 2016 Memoir Book Award and was a finalist for the 2015 PEN Southwest Book Award.  Other personal essays and longform journalism have appeared in The Best American Travel Writing,Texas Monthly,Orion,Ploughshares, The Oxford American, and elsewhere, and on Public Radio International’s This American Life.  She hasreceived residency fellowships to the MacDowell Colony, the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference, and the Vermont Studio Center, and two artist grants from the Houston Arts Alliance to support her writing.
