Author's Bio

Jerl Surratt's poems have been published in The Hopkins Review, Kenyon Review, Literary Imagination, The New Criterion, other journals and in two anthologies. His poem "Twilight Time" was awarded the Tor House Prize for Poetry by final judge Marie Howe and The Robinson Jeffers Foundation. Born in rural Texas, he has lived most of his life in and around New York City, writing poems while also working as a writer for and consultant to nonprofit organizations.
