Author's Bio

Jenny Kalahar is the editor and publisher of Last Stanza Poetry Journal. She is the founding leader of Last Stanza Poetry Association, now in its tenth year. Jenny and her husband, poet Patrick, are used and rare booksellers. She was the humor columnist for Tails Magazine for several years. Jenny was the treasurer for Poetry Society of Indiana, is the president of the Youth Poetry Society of Indiana, and is the publisher for both groups. She is the author of fourteen books, and her latest novel series is set in central Indiana. Twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize, her poems have been published in Tipton Poetry Journal, Indiana Voice Journal, Trillium, Polk Street Review, Flying Island, and in several anthologies and newspapers, and she was the editor of poems included in the international anthology Poetic Fantasies. Her works can be found on and INverse, Indiana’s poetry archive. She and Patrick previously owned bookshops in Michigan and Ohio. Through her publishing house, Stackfreed Press, she has published books in the US and UK.
