Author's Bio

Jane L. Carman is a former Sutherland Fellow, founder of the David Foster Wallace Conference, and MS and PhD recipient at Illinois State University. She is founder of the reading series Festival of Language and a reading eXperiment, as well as Lit Fest Press, all of which allow her to promote fellow writers and scholars and move literature in a forward direction. Her book, Tangled in Motion, was published by Journal of Experimental Fiction Books in 2015. Other creative and critical work can be found in elimae, 580-Split, American Book Review, Devil’s Lake, Pequin, Blue Collar Review, JAC, Santa Clara Review, and others. Carman continues to work with graduate students at multiple universities. Among other creative/critical projects, she is currently working on a book of suicide stories with Amy L. Eggert.
