Author's Bio

Irina Moga is a Canadian writer and author of six poetry collections.

Her latest book, "Quantum," was released by DarkWinter Press in 2025.

Variations sans palais (Éditions L’Harmattan, Paris) received the 2022 Dina Sahyouni International Literary Prize in France. Sea Glass Circe (Leaside Books, 2019) was selected by the jury of the Toronto LitUp! Toronto International Festival of Authors (TIFA) for an official launch under the auspices of Toronto Litup! in 2020.

Irina's poems, short stories and reviews appeared widely in Canada, the United States, and France in publications such as Canadian Literaturecarte blancheContemporary Verse 2, Prism International onlineHotch Potch Literature and ArtsNew York QuarterlyCalifornia Quarterly, Split Rock Review and Lettres Capitales. Her work has been nominated for the SFPA Rhysling Award and Best of the Net. Moga’s poetry has been translated into German, Spanish, Korean and Farsi.

A hallmark of Moga’s poetics is her fusion of the cerebral and the sensory. Her work is rooted in the belief that poetry is not just an act of expression, but an immersive experience—an observatory of shifting realities, held together by the cadences of language.
