Author's Bio

Greg Ames is the author of Buffalo Lockjaw, a novel that won the Book of the Year Award from the New Atlantic Booksellers Association (NAIBA), and Funeral Platter, a collection of twenty short stories, published in hardcover by Arcade in October 2017. Buffalo Lockjaw and Funeral Platter were both selected for inclusion in The Believer's annual reader survey of the year's best fiction. Ames's work has appeared in Best American Nonrequired Reading, The Southern Review, McSweeney's, The Sun Magazine, Catapult, North American Review, Electric Literature, and Fiction International. He splits his time between New York City and Hamilton, New York, where he is an associate professor at Colgate University.
