Author's Bio

Erric Emerson is a poet, artist, editor, web designer, and publisher who has laid his hat in Philadelphia for the last decade. He is the Founder and Editor in Chief of the experimental, dark-themed micro-zine Dark Onus Lit and its publishing imprint, Dark Onus Press. He oversees a team of Dark Onus editors, publishing literary magazine Issues and Print-on-Demand books.

Erric is cofounder of, and former poetry editor for, Duende Literary Journal (the BFA student-staffed literary magazine of Goddard College). He graduated with a BFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College in 2014. In his twenties he was a frequent member of the Suppose An Eyes poetry workshop, one of Philadelphia’s longest active poetry spaces. 

Since 2018, he’s been a poetry editor for Aji Magazine. He’s published two poetry collections— Counting Days (Reckless Heron Press, 2018) and Which Way Is Up? (Coyote Blood Press, 2019). His work appears internationally with poetry, artwork, and story inclusions in a wide variety of literary magazines and anthologies. These include Crabfat, NEON, TL;DR, Aphelion, five:2:one, As It Ought to Be, The Horror Zine, Sleet, Fleas on the dog, Uppagus, Gingerbread House, Visitant, and Willawaw.
