Author's Bio

E.F. Schraeder writes poetry and fiction often inspired by not quite real worlds. A semi-finalist in the 2019 Charlotte Mew Chapbook Contest and Rhysling-nominated poet, Schraeder's queer gothic novella, Liar: Memoir of a Haunting (Omnium Gatherum, 2021) was an Imadjinn Award finalist for Best Horror Novel. Schraeder is also the author of What Happened Was Impossible (Ghoulish Books, 2023), As Fast as She Can (Sirens Call Publications, 2022), a story collection, and several poetry chapbooks. Schraeder's creative work has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies including Lost Contact, Birthing MonstersStrange Horizons, Mystery Weekly Magazine, Mobius: The Journal of Social ChangeSinister Wisdom, Four Chambers, The Feminist Wire, Lavender Review, Dark Moon Digest, and others. Schraeder holds a MLIS and an interdisciplinary Ph.D. and enjoys visiting diverse venues to provide readings, writing workshops, and craft talks for adult and youth groups.
